Skimming and scanning can be a difficult task for students. They take very long time to answer comprehension questions and sometimes they fail to find the answers.

Group work (3 - 5 in a group)

🍎Task 1 Research

1. Define the meaning of skimming and scanning

2. Identify the differences between skimming and scanning

3. Identify the techniques used for skimming and scanning

4. Elaborate the technique (method/ steps/stages/ process)

5. Identify all the problems that student's face while skimming and scanning. List down the problems.

1. Based on task 1, choose 1 problem faced by students with skimming and  scanning

Write the problem

🤔 Think how you can solve this problem

2. Develop/create/invent your own unique skimming and scanning technique (can be a game, can be an instrument, can be a teaching method, etc...) - show the layout/framework/design of your invention

3. Explain the steps and stages to develop your technique

4. Explain the process of applying your technique

5. Explain how this technique can help to solve the problem

6. Explain what is unique with your skimming and scanning technique
